MercerBell retains MasterCard® account

Digital and direct agency, MercerBell, has retained the MasterCard® Australia account after a recent global realignment of MasterCard’s digital agencies. MercerBell will be working alongside the winner of the pitch, New-York based R/GA.

“MasterCard is one of our foundation clients,” said David Bell, Partner and Creative Director. “We've been working with each other for the past eight years, and it’s been a true partnership. We’re very much looking forward to working closely with an agency with as good a rep as R/GA.”

The announcement that MercerBell will remain as MasterCard’s digital agency in Australia caps off a period of agency consolidation for MasterCard, which has been designed to reposition its global digital approach.

“We’re terrifically happy to be able to continue our relationship with MasterCard in this way,” said Julie Dormand, MercerBell Client Services Director. “Their digital plans for growth are very exciting, and we’ll be plugging directly into their regional digital activity.”

The retention of the MasterCard account comes after several recent successful pitches by MercerBell, including the NRMA and the Fuji Xerox business earlier this year.
