Vodafone - Outta this world
With network problems, data issues and disgruntled customers, it
was hardly surprising that Vodafone's sales were down. Our
challenge was to change this, with a campaign that needed to be
live five days from brief. Plus, we needed a more premium message
about Vodafone offering top-of-the-range products at great
prices.
So, as the sale focused on the Galaxy Tablet and offered
unbelievable value, we named the campaign the 'Outta This World
Sale'. We used 3D felt cut-outs to depict objects from space and
Vodafone ran DRTV supported by online banners, Facebook advertising
and eDMs to their prospect base. The results were astounding.
For the period May 2011, monthly sales of the Galaxy Tablet
increased by a whopping 904.4%, while monthly sales of Nexus S
increased 291.7%. This represented a total of 16% of all gross
orders online for the month and revenue of $422,000. Plus,
conversion of shop sales lifted 23%, DRTV led to 7.65% conversion
rate and digital display click through rate of 12.1%.
