As one of the agency founders, Nick has over 25 years of digital, direct and database marketing experience. He helped set up JWT Direct before moving to M&C Saatchi Direct as GM. Closely involved with ADMA, Nick has served on the Board of Directors, chaired the Effectiveness Awards and is a regular speaker at the ADMA Forum. As CEO, Nick is responsible for deepening existing client relationships, leading our new business strategy and working closely with Saatchi Group and Publicis Groupe agencies.

With a career spanning more than 25 years, David is one of Australia’s most respected Executive Creative Directors. Throughout his career he has collected over 55 local and international advertising awards, and was the first Creative ever to be recognised as ADMA’s Direct Marketer of the Year in 2005. Along with providing creative leadership to the agency, David still finds time to nurture the next generation of Creatives through his involvement with ADMA’s Creative School.

Managing Director

Responsible for the day-to-day running of MercerBell and management of client relationships, Julie is also passionate about staff training and nurturing a strong culture – something MercerBell is renowned for. As a committed supporter of the industry, Julie has acted both as Chair and Boardmember for ADMA, whilst also being involved in speaking and mentoring initiatives. Her industry involvement was acknowledged in 2014 with the ADMA Jon Clark Outstanding Contribution Award.

Executive Operations Director

Paul has close to 20 years of operations and commercial management experience including 15 years at MercerBell. Along with driving operational efficiencies and business performance, he’s responsible for overseeing the Technology and Delivery teams’ output, including digital and print project management, development, studio and traffic, plus MercerBell’s external supplier relationships.

As Finance Director across both MercerBell and Saatchi & Saatchi, Annette is motivated to contribute to business growth and increased profitability through strategy management and effective financial control. Annette’s role draws upon the depth and breadth of her experience across a diverse range of industries, including digital marketing, advertising, manufacturing, IT and publishing.

Saatchi & Saatchi acquires MercerBell

Over a pie and a pint in the Rocks in early 1999, Nick Mercer and David Bell shook hands on a venture to launch a new type of agency in Sydney, placing customers at the core of everything they did.

Starting life as a DM agency, MercerBell is now Australia’s leading Customer Experience Agency, boasting a highly envious client list which includes BT, Caltex, Foxtel, Qantas and Toyota to name a few.

A new chapter in the MercerBell story began with our acquisition by Saatchi & Saatchi in February 2016. While we will continue to operate as a separate business working with our own clients, this new partnership will allow us to offer a seamless brand to customer experience for shared clients.
